Electro Competent Cells

Luminous BioSciences provides different electro competent E. coli cells suitable for transformation for library preparation or where a large number of recombinants are required. We provide the following competent cells:

• E. coli LBS 5-alpha - Electro Competent Cells
• E. coli DH10B - Electro Competent Cells

Highlights

• Transformation efficiency: 1 x 107¹⁰ cfu/μg pUC19 DNA
• Supplied as single use 50 μl per vials or 100 μl per vials
• Efficient transformation of unmethylated DNA derived from PCR, cDNA and many other sources (hsdR)
• Activity of nonspecific endonuclease I (endA1) eliminated for highest quality plasmid preparations
• Resistance to phage T1 (LBS 5-alpha)
  
• LBS 5-alpha and DH10B cells are suitable for blue/white screening by α-complementation of the β-galactosidase gene
